【植物来源】：何首乌为蓼科植物何首乌Polygonum multiflorum Thunb.的干燥块根；叶枯萎时采挖，削去两端，洗净，个大的切成块，干燥，称何首乌。本品为不规则皱缩状的块片，厚约1cm。表面黑褐色或棕褐色，凹凸不平。质坚硬，断面角质样，棕褐色或黑色。
